Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how eMeals, Inc ("Endurance by Design," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the Endurance by Design mobile application, Apple Watch companion app, and related services (together, the "Service"). It also describes the choices and rights you have regarding your information.

We care deeply about your privacy, especially your health and fitness data. We never use your Apple Health data for advertising, and we never share it with advertising or attribution partners. To run and grow the app, we do work with analytics and advertising partners using non-health data such as device identifiers and app activity. You can control this, as described in Advertising, analytics & attribution and Your rights & choices.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. We support sign-in with Apple, Google, or email and password, managed through our authentication provider. If you use Sign in with Apple, you may choose to hide your email, in which case we receive an Apple-provided relay address.

Profile & training inputs

To generate your plan, we collect information you provide, such as your sport(s), target race and date, experience level, weekly training hours, goals, swim access (pool/open water), and bike setup. As you train, we store your generated training plans, workouts, completion status, personal records, events, and training metrics.

Health & fitness data

With your permission, we read health and fitness data from Apple Health (HealthKit). See Section 2 for details.

Subscription & purchase data

Subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. We receive subscription status and related transaction events from our subscription management provider to operate your subscription and any free trial.

Device, usage & marketing data

We collect technical and usage information such as device type, operating system version, app version, language, IP address, and diagnostic or crash data. To measure and improve our marketing, we also collect a device identifier and, where you allow it, your device advertising identifier (IDFA), together with app events (for example, install, sign-up, trial start, and key in-app actions) and the marketing campaign, ad, or creator link you came from. See Section 7 for how this is used and how to control it. We never include Apple Health data in this marketing information.

2. Health & fitness data

Endurance by Design uses Apple HealthKit. With your explicit permission, we read data such as sleep, heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate, and workout history to calculate your daily readiness score and tailor your training recommendations.

In line with Apple's HealthKit requirements and our own commitments:

  • We use health data solely to provide and improve features within the Service (for example, readiness scoring and plan adaptation).
  • We do not use health data for advertising or marketing, and we do not sell it.
  • We do not share health data with advertising networks, analytics or attribution partners (including AppsFlyer, Meta, TikTok, Google, or Apple Search Ads), or data brokers. Health data is excluded from all advertising and attribution tracking.
  • Health data read from Apple Health is processed to power your in-app experience. You can revoke our access at any time in the iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health menu.

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Generate, structure, and continuously adapt your personalized training plan;
  • Calculate your daily readiness score and today's training recommendation;
  • Provide AI workout audits and coaching responses;
  • Deliver workouts to your phone and Apple Watch and sync with connected devices;
  • Back up your training data and restore it across your devices;
  • Operate your subscription, any free trial, and billing status;
  • Maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service;
  • Communicate with you about the Service, including support requests;
  • Measure and attribute app installs, run and optimize our advertising on platforms such as Meta, TikTok, Google, and Apple Search Ads, and support creator and referral campaigns, using non-health data only;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. To run and measure our advertising, we do share certain non-health identifiers and app-event data with analytics and advertising partners, which may be treated as "sharing" or a "sale" for cross-context behavioral advertising under some U.S. state laws. You can opt out, as described in Section 9. We share information in these circumstances:

  • Service providers (subprocessors). We share data with vendors who process it on our behalf to operate the Service (see Section 5).
  • Advertising & analytics partners. We share device identifiers, advertising identifiers (where permitted), and app-event data with our attribution provider (AppsFlyer) and advertising platforms (such as Meta, TikTok, Google, and Apple Search Ads) to measure installs, attribute campaigns, and deliver and optimize ads. This never includes your Apple Health data. See Section 7.
  • Connected accounts you authorize. When you connect Strava, we exchange the data needed to sync your activities, including those recorded on a Garmin or other watch and synced to Strava (see Section 6).
  • Legal & safety. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.
  • Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

5. Third-party services we use

We rely on the following providers to deliver the Service. Each processes only the data necessary for its function, under its own terms and privacy practices:

  • OpenAI: generates training plans, workout audits, and coaching responses. We send the relevant athlete context (such as sport, race goal, experience, and training inputs) needed to produce these outputs.
  • Supabase: authentication and identity (Apple, Google, and email sign-in).
  • RevenueCat: subscription management and entitlement status.
  • Apple: HealthKit (health data), App Store in-app purchases, and Sign in with Apple.
  • Strava: optional, user-authorized activity sync, including activities recorded on a Garmin or other watch and synced to Strava.
  • AppsFlyer: mobile attribution and marketing analytics (measuring installs and campaign performance using non-health data).
  • Meta, TikTok, Google, and Apple Search Ads: advertising and campaign measurement. We share non-health app events and identifiers to attribute, deliver, and optimize ads.

6. Connected accounts (Strava)

If you choose to connect Strava, you authorize the connection through Strava's secure sign-in (OAuth). We store the access tokens needed to sync on your behalf and an account identifier from Strava. We use this access to receive your completed activities and update your training metrics. Activities recorded on a Garmin or other watch sync into Endurance through Strava; we do not connect to Garmin directly. You can disconnect at any time from within the app, which revokes our access and removes the stored tokens.

7. Advertising, analytics & attribution

We promote Endurance by Design through paid advertising, creator and influencer partnerships, and user-generated content. To understand which of these bring athletes to the app and to run our campaigns responsibly, we use attribution and advertising partners. This activity uses non-health data only.

Attribution (AppsFlyer)

We use AppsFlyer, a mobile measurement partner, to understand how people discover and install the app (for example, which ad, campaign, or creator link led to an install) and which key actions happen afterward. AppsFlyer processes data such as a device identifier, IP address, and app events on our behalf.

Advertising platforms

We advertise on platforms including Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, Google (including YouTube), and Apple Search Ads, and we may add others over time. To measure and optimize these campaigns, show relevant ads, and build similar-audience lists, we share limited information such as device and advertising identifiers (where permitted) and app events (for example, install, sign-up, or trial start). These platforms process that information under their own privacy policies.

Creator, influencer & referral links

When you arrive from a creator, influencer, or referral link, we use attribution data to credit that partner and to measure the campaign. This does not change what we collect about you beyond the marketing data described in Section 1.

What is never included

Your Apple Health data is never used for advertising or attribution and is never shared with AppsFlyer or any advertising platform.

Your controls

On iOS we ask for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before tracking you for advertising. If you decline, we do not use your device advertising identifier (IDFA) for cross-app tracking. You can change your choice anytime in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and you can opt out of advertising-related sharing as described in Section 9.

8. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your cloud training data from within the app at any time. When you delete your account or request deletion, we delete or de-identify your personal information, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

9. Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. These include rights under the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).

  • Access & deletion. You can delete your cloud training data in the app's Profile settings, and you can request full account deletion by contacting us.
  • HealthKit access. You can grant or revoke Apple Health permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
  • Connected accounts. You can disconnect Strava in the app at any time.
  • Marketing. You can opt out of non-essential emails using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
  • Targeted advertising and "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information." You can opt out of the sharing of your information for cross-context behavioral advertising by declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt, by turning off "Allow Apps to Request to Track" in iOS Settings, or by emailing us.
  • App Tracking Transparency. On first launch we ask permission before tracking you for advertising. You can change this anytime in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@endurancebydesign.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

10. Data security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, authentication, and rate limiting. The app is offline-first, keeping your data on your device with secure background backup. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. We do not knowingly use any data from children for advertising or attribution tracking. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

12. International data transfers

We and our service providers may process and store information in countries other than where you live, including the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers. By using the Service, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in these locations.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice within the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
